Your Bespoke Painting

Created Just for You

There are moments that stay with us…

The way light fell across a room, the quiet strength in a gesture,
the hush before bloom.
My commission work is about giving those moments form and permanence.

Each painting is created entirely by hand, from life or imagination, and built layer by layer in oil. We begin with a conversation • about mood, color, and feeling • and I translate that into a work meant to live with you for decades, not seasons.

Reserve Your Commission

Every commissioned piece is one of one — never reproduced, never licensed, and made with the same care I bring to my own personal works.
Because of the depth and attention each painting requires, I only accept a limited number of commissions each year.

If you feel your piece belongs among them,
a $500 reservation secures a place in my 2026 studio calendar. Once confirmed, we’ll discuss subject, size, palette, and timing together.

 FAQs

  • Once your reservation is placed, I’ll reach out personally to discuss your vision — the subject, palette, and feeling you’d like the work to hold. From there, I create a digital color sketch or written concept before the painting begins.

  • Each commissioned painting is priced according to size and complexity. Below are common formats to help guide your expectations:

    • 16 × 20″ — from $1,900

    • 20 × 24″ — from $2,900

    • 24 × 30″ — from $4,300

    • 30 × 40″ — from $5,500

    • 36 × 48″ — from $6,900

    • 40 × 60″ and larger — custom quoted

A $500 reservation secures your place in the 2026 studio calendar and is applied toward the final total.

Please note that material and supply costs are additional and vary by project.
Framing, shipping, and concierge services are also billed separately.

Each painting is created entirely by hand in oil on fine cotton or linen canvas — crafted to endure for generations.

  • A 50% deposit (which includes the $500 reservation fee) is required to begin and is non-refundable once painting has commenced. This payment covers design, materials, and studio time dedicated exclusively to your commission.

If, upon completion, you decide not to move forward with the finished work, your payment may be applied as a studio credit toward an existing available painting or future collection release (not a new commission). The completed work will remain the property of the artist and may be included in a future collection.

  • Each painting unfolds over several months, depending on scale, complexity, and drying time. I typically accept one to two commissions per season, so completion averages around three to four months from your project’s start date. Commissions are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Yes. I offer a commission concierge service for $250, which covers my time coordinating framing, installation, and shipping logistics on your behalf.
This fee is separate from the actual framing and shipping costs, which are billed directly through the framer or carrier.
I work with trusted partners in the Pittsburgh area and can also assist with certified fine art shipping for out-of-state collectors.

  • I retain copyright to all commissioned paintings. Your piece is an original work created exclusively for your collection and may not be reproduced or used commercially without my written consent.

  • Because each work is highly personal, I occasionally decline projects that aren’t the right fit for my process or style. That said, most collectors who reach out already know my work — it’s almost always a natural match.

Should it ever feel like we’re not aligned before painting begins, your deposit can be applied as a studio credit toward an existing available work or future collection piece.

  • Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. I’m happy to clarify before you commit.
